Book Sales! - Lots of Them!

I will keep this brief, but I am happy to say that almost as soon as I order a shipment of books, they are sold!  This is a wonderous opportunity for me as I am reminded that people are looking for hope in this dark world.  It is my desire that many find it within the pages of Faith's Pursuit and that they would pass my book along to others.  Thanks for the support everyone!  It is an encouragement to me!

Conquering Your Destiny Conference - the Power of Perseverance

I am honored to have been asked by the Milton Hershey School to participate in this year's Conquering Your Destiny Conference.  I have to admit, that I don't feel that I am on the same level as many of the other participants in the way of public speaking.  I am proud, however, to admit that, like many who will share that day, that I have been through trials and the Lord saw fit to complete His work in me in various areas of my life!  Hallelujah!

If you are interested in attending the one-day conference it will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 9am-3pm.  Lunch is provided and the event is free!  We will hold the conference this year at Founders Hall in Hershey, PA.

My First Book Sale/Signing!

I had the opportunity to speak at a Faith-Based Roundtable Discussion centered on the theme: Conquer Your Destiny.  The event was held at the Founders Hall Auditorium on the campus of Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA.  Vera Cornish and her associates sponsored the event. http://www.cornishandassociates.com/index.php

I shared my early childhood journey with it's many hardships.  Then I mentioned how I came to be enrolled at the Milton Hershey School.  I set up a book sale table during lunch and many perused my table.  I signed a number of books and sold 8 (hey, it's a start!)

I was happy for the exposure and for making my first contacts with others about my book!  Thanks for the prayers and support from many of you who prayed!

Welcome to My Book's Site!

I am excited about this new era that I have stepped into as an author! It took me approximately 1 year from the beginning of writing to the published product, but the journey in between feels much longer! Probably because this book is a memoir...

A memoir was not something that I was planning to write. I wasn't planning to write anything really...and I certainly was not hoping to publish it. The book sort of just came out of me. It was the result of so many years of circumstances and conclusions that I have made about life, the Lord and everything in between.  I needed to get all of it down on paper to just take a look at. Fortunately, I am happy to say that I like the message that has come forth...namely, Life is Hard, but God is Good.
